Swims Lake is a nice lake to visit. While you're here at Swims Lake, you could also take a look at pretty Swins Lake B; playing golf is lots of fun at The Lion Golf Club. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Swims Lake. This is a popular place for folks from Cedartown, and don't forget to take a perfect little visit to Bear Creek. Swims Lake ordinarily gets a good deal of rainfall; throughout March this area sees the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Bremen Days Inn is a perfect spot to get some rest, and Swins Lake Dam B is a striking place, without doubt worth visiting. For the period of the summertime months highs here at Swims Lake reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. | |

paddling is great on Snake River; if you came for an overnight stay Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp-Resort is a wonderful spot to camp.

Whooping Creek
 | 12 miles away ... 90% of the way. I have lived on this creek my entire life and have barely been able to find a spotdeep enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. There are a few property owners on shilo church road that will allow you passage to the water. I have floated a canoe to the river on this section after months of rain, but in general it is also too shallow. There are some deep holes in this section of the creek that offer great bream and bass fishing. The fishing is best closer to the river and it is not uncommon to catch 7# striped bass swimming up from the river looking for food. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but not worth the hassle for kayaking.
