Swan Lake gets a large amount of water; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most while October is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Big Cedar Creek; Swan Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, James H. Floyd State Park is a tremendous local campground. A lake close by       is Sandy Beach Lake, and O'Bryan Gap is in the neighborhood, and is a great site. Enjoy a round of golf at Stonebridge Golf Club not far from Swan Lake, and Swan Lake is not far at all from Rome. That right there is heaps already, but it carries on; Swan Lake has it all. There's so much to do here at Swan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rome-floyd County Recreation is a wonderful location for that; if you need a spot to stay Howard Johnson Express                  Inn is a pleasant choice. Through the summertime months here at Swan Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Swan Lake. If the weather is beautiful, you acquire a pleasant view of Lavender Mountain from Swan Lake, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Rome is a delightful location to spend a night or two.
