A picturesque lake like Stuarrts Lake in the neighborhood of Stuarts Lake is a wonderful site to pop by, and if you come at the right time of year, Hard Labor Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Stuarts Lake. Stay the night at Fort Yargo State Park; it's a glorious idea to explore Baker Branch. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Stuarts Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight | |

The scenery at Stuarts Lake Dam next to Stuarts Lake is charming, and a tremendous close by hotel is Country Hearth Inn Monroe.

Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
