If you need a site to stay Americas Best Value Inn is a perfect choice, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not have a look at Byrds Lake. After a long day outdoors Country Hearth Inn Monroe is a great spot to spend a night or two; whitewater paddling is great on Alcovy River. A good deal of precipitation falls at Stuarrts Lake; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is October. Any time is a splendid time at Stuarrts

| | Lake if you adore the outdoors. Stuarts Lake Dam is not far at all from Stuarrts Lake, and Stuarts Lake is a great lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Fort Yargo State Park is a nice campground nearby; don't forget to take a great little trip to Baker Branch. are regularly in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Stuarrts Lake are in the 20's. Paddling on Hard Labor Creek is so much fun.

Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
