Be careful coming to Stone Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. If you need a site to stay Days Inn Macon East is a fine choice, and the good people of Macon like to hang out close by. There's so much to do here at Stone Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tobesofkee       Recreation Area is a tremendous location for that; do check out Edwards Lake, it's a pretty lake. For you golfers we recommend nearby Bowden Golf Course, and if you're looking for a splendid trip, Ocmulgee National Monument is quite near. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Macon Marriott City Center, and while you're here, you could also check out scenic Black Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Stone Lake a wet site; through                  March this area sees the most rain while October is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Stone Lake has to offer, you can camp at Interstate RV Center and Campground; some close by water includes Swift Creek. Summertime at Stone Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's.
