Dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn, and nearby you stumble on the Kinnard Horse Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. The high level of rain makes Stokes Lake a quite wet location; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here, and       September is the month with the least moisture. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Stokes Lake. You'll come across a pretty lake called Mores Pond near Stokes Lake; whitewater paddling is great on Hard Labor Creek. An out of the ordinary thing to explore near Stokes Lake is Stokes Lake Dam. This lake is so wonderful. A stunning lake like Hays Pond next to Stokes Lake is a glorious location to pop by; you can stay the night at Simmeron Park.                  Through the warmest time of the year here at Stokes Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Stokes Lake.
