Dry warm beds await you at Augusta Travelodge, and Stewarts Ponds is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Forks Campground is a delightful local campground. Get covered with water paddling on Savannah River; do take a hike on the Horn Creek Hiking Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Stewarts Ponds is not far at all from Augusta-Richmond County. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area next to Stewarts Ponds has to offer. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stevens Creek,
and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Forest Hills Golf Club is close by. Stewarts Ponds generally gets a good deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally March, that's the one that rains
the most, and November on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Turkey Creek Hiking Trail is nice fun, and if you need a site to stay Days Inn Suites Augusta is a fine choice.
Cranes Creek is
in the vicinity of Stewarts Ponds and is always a delight to go to, and Stewarts Ponds is not the only site close by, Bowen Pond is a close by lake.
