No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Statham Lake. If you need a place to stay Hotel Sierra Suites Alpharetta is a great choice; Statham Lake is a glorious place to camp, Marietta Campground is a glorious place. Dry warm beds await you at Doubletree Hotel Atlanta/Alpharetta-Windward, and do take a hike on the Brookshire Creek Trail. At Freedrick Lake Dam right next       door to Statham Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and an afternoon playing golf at Woodmont Golf Club is always a delight. This lake is so wonderful. Statham Lake is a site with many visitors from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, and get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of Marsh Creek. At Statham Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the                  60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are generally in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Statham Lake. You'll stumble on a pretty lake called Beck Lake near Statham Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Creek. This lake is so wonderful. If you haven’t been to Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, you must schedule some time for it if you're here, and Twin Lakes Park is a delightful campground here.
