After a long day outdoors Historic Banning Mills is a good spot to spend a night or two, and lakes are such serene places, why not go to Sewell Millpond. Starr Pond is a wet location that gets a great deal of precipitation; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here; October is the month with the least moisture. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Starr       Pond. During the summertime highs here at Starr Pond reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Starr Pond. If you come at the right time of year, Wolf Creek offers some brilliant whitewater, and float down the rapids of Hurricane Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by St Andrews Golf                  & Country Club; why not take a little tour to Hood Branch since you're here.
