Starr Bridge Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Lakes are such serene spots, why not explore Brays Lake in close proximity to Starr Bridge Lake, and Starr Bridge Lake is a place with many visitors from Toccoa. area sees the most rain, and October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Victoria Bryant State Park is always a great experience, and Highland Walk Golf Course is a golf course close by.

Stonecypher Lake
 | 14 miles away ...ted on the farm lands of Palmer Simpson Stonecypher and was constructed in the mid 1950's. The shorelines are constant except in times of heavy rainfall and original life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed. The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates. Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings. Over the years sport fishing has been excellent with large mouth Bass, Crappie, Brem, Pike And Catfish, however fishing is limited due to private ownership of property including the lake basin.
