And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Stanford Lake. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Creek, and right                  next door to Stanford Lake you come across a golf course called Bradshaw Farms Golf Course. Stanford Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while October is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta here, and Tharp Lake Dam has brilliant water scenery. For the period of the summertime months at Stanford Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's with night lows in the 60's.
