A tour to Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is recommended; the view of Barrow Hill is beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Towaliga River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you came for an overnight stay Pirkle Campground is a great site to camp. While you're here at Sowell Lake you can play some golf at Morgan's Dairy Golf Club; not far from Sowell Lake you acquire some delightful water scenery at Sowell Lake Dam. The warmest

| | time of the year at Sowell Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's; nighttime lows at Sowell Lake through the winter regularly sink into the 30's. Inn and Suites is a great place to spend a night or two; whitewater paddling is glorious on Little Towaliga River. This lake is so wonderful. This is a glorious area for folks who like lakes. Crouch Lake Number Three is a lake
in the vicinity; don't forget to take a splendid little tour to Grape Creek. Iris Inn is a glorious place to get some rest, and you'll meet a lot of people from Thomaston here. Sowell Lake is a relatively wet place commonly with a
lot of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is October.
