The beauty of Sowell Lake attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. Griffin Inn and Suites is a magnificent place to get some rest; there's whitewater on Little Towaliga River for all you adrenaline people. This lake is so wonderful. Sowell Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, High Falls Campground is a good place to camp nearby; the friendly folks of Thomaston like to hang out close by. If you need a site to stay Iris Inn is a great choice, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody
but if it's for you then, we recommend Towaliga River. At Sowell Lake you can spot Barrow Hill, and while you're here you can play some golf at Morgan's Dairy Golf Club. Looking for some flowing water? Try Grape Creek, and Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is one of the destinations that are great to visit nearby.
