This lake is so wonderful. Towaliga River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you came for an overnight stay Pirkle Campground is a great site to camp. While you're here at Sowell Lake you can play some golf at Morgan's Dairy Golf Club; not far from Sowell Lake you acquire some delightful water scenery at Sowell Lake Dam. The warmest       time of the year at Sowell Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's; nighttime lows at Sowell Lake through the winter regularly sink into the 30's. Lakes are delightful; Crouch Lake Number Two is a lake that's close to Sowell Lake; High Falls Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. Just can't get enough of Sowell Lake. After a long day outdoors Griffin                  Inn and Suites is a great place to spend a night or two; whitewater paddling is glorious on Little Towaliga River. This lake is so wonderful. Iris Inn is a glorious place to get some rest, and you'll meet a lot of people from Thomaston here.
