Whiten Creek is a great local stream; glide down the rapids of Nancy Town River in a kayak. Summertime at Sosby Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly colder of course, mostly in the 60's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the 50's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Sosby Pond drop into the 20's. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Sosby       Pond has to offer, you can camp at Sunset Campground, and folks from Toccoa love to come here. Sosby Pond is a pretty wet place usually with a lot of rain; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here; October is the month with the least moisture. Cash Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and paddling on Rice Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Toccoa Days Inn. There's so much to do here at                  Sosby Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Poplar Springs Campgrounds is a wonderful location for that. This place, Sosby Pond, it absolutely has so much outdoors exciting stuff.
