Smiths Lake is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rain; through March this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is October. Georges Lake Dam has perfect water scenery. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Smiths Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Smiths Lake temperatures fall to the 30's.

Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
