Smith Pond is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, Daisy Farms RV Park is a magnificent spot to camp nearby, and if you need a site to stay SpringHill Suites Statesboro University Area is a wonderful choice. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Smith Pond with night lows in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Smith Pond temperatures sink to the 30's.       Parkwood RV Park is a great local campground, and you'll meet a lot of people from Statesboro here. The high level of rain makes Smith Pond a rather wet spot; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most, and November on the other hand is the driest. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Why not visit Smith Pond Dam while you're here, and of course, this is a nice area for folks who like lakes, Bird Pond is a lake                  close by. This lake is so wonderful.
