Sure, Lake Arthur is in close proximity; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express DAHLONEGA is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail, and if       you're interested in hydro structures, you can pop by Smith Lake Dam. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's some flowing water nearby, Chateen Creek is a stream you can take a look at while here, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Chestatee River. All the water falling down from the sky makes Smith Lake a wet site; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest month is October.                  This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Smith Lake; Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a pleasant local trail, and not far from Smith Lake you'll stumble on Black Lake which is a picturesque lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Jenny's Creek Campground, and get drenched paddling on Tesnatee Creek. Don't leave Smith Lake without first going for a hike along the Whitly Gap Trail; Days Inn Cleveland is a perfect spot to get some rest. Summertime highs at Smith Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Smith Lake.
