All the water falling down from the sky makes Smith Lake a wet site; most of the rain falls through August, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Through the warm months at Smith Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are usually in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter       at Smith Lake temperatures dip to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Smith Lake is a location with many visitors from Statesboro, and if you need a spot to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a tremendous choice. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Smith Lake. Smith Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Beaver Run RV Park and Campground is a great spot to camp nearby, and a lake close by is Hendrix                  Pond. Smith Lake Dam is a location that is near Smith Lake, and Smith Lake is not the only site nearby, Nessmith Pond is a nearby lake.
