You don’t have to go far from Skyland Lake to catch a glimpse of the water at Hetrick Lake Dam, and why not camp at Mount Bethel Campground while you're here at Skyland Lake. This place, Skyland Lake, it truly has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. A splendid spot to camp here at Skyland Lake is New Hope Campground; whitewater paddling is pleasant on Towaliga River. | | a good deal of rain; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Skyland Lake get into the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Skyland Lake are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. | |

After a long day outdoors Ramada Limited Locust Grove is a delightful spot to spend a night or two; paddling on South River is so much fun. A golf course near Skyland Lake is Cotton Fields Golf Club. Lakes are tremendous; Collins
Lake is a lake that's close to Skyland Lake. A good nearby hotel is Locust Grove Atlanta Red Roof Inn, and unsurprisingly, this is a perfect area for folks who like lakes, Hetrick Lake is a lake close by.
