Do stop at Heavy Liquor Pond close to Simpson Lakes, it's a gorgeous lake; Simpson Lakes is not far at all from Rome. This lake is so wonderful. Americas Best Value Inn/Rome is a splendid place to get some rest; camping is available at Rome-floyd County Recreation. During the days of summer here at Simpson Lakes,       high temperatures regularly reach the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Simpson Lakes dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Simpson Lakes is a wet spot that gets much rain; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, Beech Creek is a stream you can check out                  while here, and you'll stumble on a charming lake called Simpson Lake. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Rome is a perfect choice, and if you want to take a look at some exciting stuff, take a look at Camp Bend. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place.
