This lake is so wonderful. All the water falling down from the sky makes Simpson Lake a wet place; through the month of July you get the most rain around here, and October on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Chattahoochee River; Simpson       Lake Dam is a beautiful site, without doubt worth stopping at. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Simpson Lake. Simpson Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Pines Camp Ground is a delightful local campground; after a long day outdoors WYNDHAM GARDEN COLUMBUS is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. During the summer months, highs regularly are in the 90's at Simpson Lake. For the                  duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Simpson Lake. Get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Mulberry Creek, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Bull Creek Golf Course is close by. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of people from Columbus come to Simpson Lake; lakes are such peaceful spots, why not check out Kokoloe Lake.
