At Silver Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 50's while Silver Lake night low temperatures all through the winter are in the 30's. An afternoon playing golf at Indian Creek Golf Club is always a joy, and there's some       out of the ordinary stuff to observe at Silver Lake Dam near Silver Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Silver Lake is not the only place nearby, Mores Pond is a nearby lake; going for a hike on the Kinnard Horse Trail is always a great adventure. You could also stop at Boyle Lake Number One while you're here at Silver Lake; it's nearby, and you can run the rapids of Alcovy River. Silver Lake is a reasonably wet place regularly with lots of precipitation; most                  of the rain falls during March, and the driest month of the year is September. But wait, there's more to do near Silver Lake. Some of the water close by flows, like Whitehead Creek; if you came to camp Hard Labor Creek State Park is a fine place to do that. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Covington, and camping at Salem Campground is always a nice experience. This lake is so wonderful.
