While you're here at Silver Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Augusta-Richmond County. For the period of the summer months at Silver       Lake highs are usually in the 90's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Silver Lake temperatures sink to the 30's. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Silver Lake; Horn Creek Hiking Trail is a brilliant local trail, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Stevens Creek.
