Why not stop by Silvan Lake if you're passing through these parts. And if that's not enough there's plenty more cool stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Don't forget to take a nice little visit to Billy Creek, and Permisson Valley Campground is a pleasant campground here. There's whitewater on Stekoa Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to observe at Black Rock Lake Dam right next door to Silvan Lake. The Stewart

No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Silvan Lake. Take a hike on the Bartram Trail. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Silvan Lake is right by the Gage Trail, and Blackrock Mountain is painless to spot from Silvan Lake. A great close by hotel is Knights Inn Dillard, and close by Gibson Gap is a splendid spot
to go. Silvan Lake gets a large amount of water; through March this area sees the most rain while October is typically the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Rabun County
Golf Club is in the neighborhood, and camping at Silvan Lake is good fun, Mountain City RV Park is a good local campground. High temperatures at Silvan Lake through the summer are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures
are in the 60's. During the winter highs are ordinarily in the 40's while Silvan Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Silvan Lake.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Darnell Creek, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Scaly Mountain.
