Nearby Gibson Gap is a delightful place to go if you're at Silvan Lake, and Clayton-Days Inn is a great location to get some rest. All year is a glorious time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Golf can be played at Rabun County Golf Club, and a quick trip to Billy Creek is certainly a fine idea. So many exciting things to do here in the Blue       Ridge Mountains, too great to be true. Silvan Lake is not the only spot nearby, Black Rock Lake is a nearby lake; at Black Rock Lake Dam right next door to Silvan Lake there are some interesting things to see. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Silvan Lake. Blackrock Mountain is a peak you can distinguish from Silvan Lake; after a long day outdoors Knights Inn Dillard is a great place to spend a night or two. The high level of precipitation makes                  Silvan Lake a pretty wet place; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is October. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Silvan Lake, too fine to be true. Don't leave Silvan Lake without first going for a hike along the Gage Trail; Sky Valley has glorious slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Man, is there a heap of enjoyable stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Blue Ridge Camp & Resort is a great local campground, and pleasant hiking is available along the Bartram Trail. Hit the slopes at Scaly Mountain around here, and if you've had enough of Silvan Lake, Rabun Gap Nacoochee School Lake is nearby. The warmest time of the year at Silvan Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Silvan Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Mountain City Recreational Vehicle Park is a good campground nearby, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Stekoa Creek.
