There's so much to do here at Signal Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Heritage Mobile Home Community is a great location for that. And that's not all you can do here at Signal Lake. At Signal Lake you always meet someone from Augusta-Richmond County. At Signal Lake during the summertime highs are in  
   the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are frequently in the 50's, and night lows at Signal Lake throughout the wintertime ordinarily dip into the 30's.
Get covered with water paddling on Savannah River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Signal Lake has to offer, you can camp at Byron Mobile Home and Camper. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Econo Lodge Martinez, and
 
               you'll discover a charming lake called Mirror Lake. If you need a place to stay Quality Inn Augusta is a tremendous choice, and a beautiful lake like Wilkerson Lake is a fine place to explore.

There are two open spillway dams between the Hwy 28 (Fury's Ferry) Bridge and I-20: Stevens Creek Dam (at the confluence of Stevens Creek) and the Augusta Canal Diversion Dam (about a mile downstream of Stevens Creek Dam). There are no marked access points immediately on either side of either dam. Georgia Power Co. operates an electric generating facility on the Georgia (south) bank at Stevens Creek. At the Canal, since the canal immediately parallels the river some twenty feet above it, there is no river access whatsoever on the Georgia side. Portage would be recommended along private land on the South Carolina side of both dams....
