If you are traveling by, why not stop by Shuman Pond. Not far from Shuman Pond, you'll locate Downds Pond which is a picturesque lake; at Strickland Dam near Shuman Pond there are some out of the ordinary things to see. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Downtowner Inn Claxton is a glorious choice, and Daisy Farms RV Park is a nice campground here.
