This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Shivers Lake has to offer, you can camp at A.H. Stephens State       Historic Park, and get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Ogeechee River. Man, is there a lot of cool things to do in close proximity to Shivers Lake. Shivers Lake Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. Chafin Lake is a good lake close to Shivers Lake; Jameson Inn Washington is a nice location to get some rest. Shivers Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain,                  and the driest of the months is September.
