While you're here at Shiflett Pond you will meet lots of people from nearby Toccoa, and Hazel Creek RV Park is a good local campground. The warmest time of the year at Shiflett Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is a tad chillier of course, commonly in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures       at Shiflett Pond dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Shiflett Pond. A nice close by hotel is Country Hearth Inn Toccoa; going for a hike on the Chattooga Trail is always a nice adventure. Days Inn Toccoa is a great spot to get some rest, and a scenic lake like Watkins Pond is a brilliant place to explore. Get soaked paddling on Nancy Town River, and for you golfers we                  recommend close by Toccoa City Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. North Fork Broad River Structure Eight Dam is a location that is next to Shiflett Pond; why not camp at Toccoa Rv Park & Campground while you're here at Shiflett Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Panther Creek; from Shiflett Pond you acquire a wonderful vista of Currahee Mountain.
