Sheppards Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Campwest Minster is a delightful local campground, and do pop by Rockdale Lake, it's a delightful lake. Sheppards Lake gets much water; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Conyers, GA is a tremendous place to get some rest, and Cherokee Run Golf Course is a nice golf course close by. So much exciting stuff to

Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Sheppards Lake, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Sheppards Lake.

| Putting in at Killian Hill Rd , the best white water is just down river from HWY 78 to the Yellow River Park. Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
