This lake is so wonderful. Shephard Lake is not the only spot nearby, Ralph Walker Lake is a nearby lake, and Villa South is a perfect spot to get some rest. Yeah, come here to Shephard Lake for a fine time. Camping at Hamburg State Park is always a great experience. Through the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 80's at Shephard Lake. Once the sun is down       it descends down to the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Shephard Lake during the winter frequently sink into the 30's. You could also stop by American Ind Clay Company Lake since you're here at Shephard Lake; it's close by; if you need a site to stay Days Inn Sandersville is a fine choice. All the water falling down from the sky makes Shephard Lake a wet spot; the month of March is the wettest with most                  of the rain, and October is when it's the driest.
