The scenery at Shephard Dam in the vicinity of Shephard Lake is delightful, and if you came to camp Simmeron Park is a great spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. The high level of rainfall makes Shephard Lake a quite wet spot; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is September. If you're here at Shephard       Lake and you like golf, you can stop by Woodlake Golf Club, and after a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two. Cornish Mountain is picturesque and can be spotted from Shephard Lake. There's so much to do here at Shephard Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Salem Campground is a delightful spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. Little Cornish Creek flows through this neighborhood, and dry warm beds await you                  at Days Inn Covington. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Shephard Lake, too great to be true. If you get bored of Shephard Lake, you could also pop by nearby Cornish Creek Reservoir, and get covered with water paddling on Hard Labor Creek. At Shephard Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's.
