This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Applewood Golf Course is a nice way to kill some time; Dorns Pond is a good lake nearby. Shaw Lake Dam is worth stopping at if you're here, and do have a look at Allen Branch if you're here at Shaw Lake. Shaw Lake is a rather wet place frequently       with a large amount of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and November on the other hand is the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff close to Shaw Lake. While you're here at Shaw Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Augusta-Richmond County, and why not camp at Redcliffe Plantation state Historic Site since you're here at Shaw Lake. High temperatures at Shaw Lake through the warm months are                  in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Shaw Lake drop into the 30's.
