The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Shamrock Lake dipping down into       the 30's during winter nights. A lake nearby is Camp Orr Lake, and naturally, all our national parks are glorious locations to explore and Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is no exception. There's so much to do here at Shamrock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mc Dondugh Koa Kampground is a great place for that; Mossflorinstone Creek is in the neighborhood of Shamrock Lake and is always a delight to take a look at. This lake is so                  wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Lake Spivey Golf Club is a brilliant way to kill some time, and you don’t have to go far from Shamrock Lake to distinguish the water at Lake Shamrock Dam. Shamrock Lake typically gets much rain; the month with most of the rain is March while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Man, is there a heap of entertaining things to do in close proximity to Shamrock Lake.
