After a long day outdoors Key West Inn La Fayette is a tremendous location to spend a night or two; paddling on Gulf Creek is so much fun. Selmans Lake is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with a great deal of precipitation; through March this area sees the most rain; August is when it's the driest. Selmans Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Rome-floyd County Recreation       is a tremendous local campground. During the days of summer at Selmans Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 60's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Selmans Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. A great nearby hotel is Lafayette Days Inn, and lots of folks from Summerville come here.
