Stay the night at Morrison Campground, and hey, Selman Creek is a great local stream. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Express Inn is a glorious location to spend a night or two, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Allen Creek. Selman Lake mostly gets much precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; August on the other hand is the driest.       If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Selman Lake. Rome-floyd County Recreation is a nice campground here, and you'll possibly meet some people from Summerville here. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Bryant Spring, and a fine location for whitewater paddling is Johnnies Creek. During the days of summer here at Selman Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 80's, and the night is a tad colder of course, commonly in the 60's. Highs all through                  the winter are commonly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Selman Lake are in the 20's.
