There are plenty of people from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta here at Sellers Lake; if you get bored of Sellers Lake you could also have a look at close by Blalock Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Sellers Lake Dam is delightful and it's near Sellers Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is worthwhile, and a great close by hotel is Homestead Inn. This place, Sellers Lake, it completely has so much outdoors

| | entertaining stuff. A lake nearby is Lusk Lake, and Marietta Campground is a fine campground nearby. Through the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 80's at Sellers Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Sellers Lake are in the 20's. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Canton is a great choice, and Sellers Lake is a magnificent location | |

gets a large amount of water; during March this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is October. Marsh Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Sellers Lake; nearby you come across the Brookshire Creek Trail which is a fine hiking trail.

Simmons Lake
 | 19 miles away My father had a home in the Echo Lake subdivision in the 1960's and the way I remember what happened to Simmons Lake was that that after Lakeside High School was built the earthen dam that held back Simmons Lake broke and that was pretty much the end of the lake. It wasn't repaired. The small lake next to Briarcliff Road was a separate lake that was fed from Simmons lake and in turn fed Echo Lake. This small lake appears from an aerial photograph to have nearly silted in. The culvert under Briarcliff Road from the small lake to Echo Lake was a favorite haunt for chasing snakes and turtles. I remember Echo Lake being dredged in the 1960's. Back then there was little Echo Lake at the other end of Echo Lake and it no longer exists. Little Echo Lake had a concrete dam that failed a couple of times and I suppose was given up on. The homes in Echo Lake subdivision sold in the 20-25K range. This area was a perfect place for my brother and me to spend summers. Dad told me years later that he wouldn't see us until dinner time in the summer because we spent all day doing things around these la... |
