If you came for an overnight stay Dooly Campground is a delightful place to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Cordele. Camping is available at Dixie RV Park, and lots of folks from Americus come here. Summertime highs at Lake Sawdust generally tend to be in the 90's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 50's, and night lows in the 30's for Lake Sawdust.       All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Sawdust a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is January, and October is the month with the least moisture. Some of the water nearby flows, like Limestone Creek, and Travelodge Cordele is a brilliant place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop at a swamp like Parkers Slough if you're here at Lake Sawdust; a trip to close by Glory Hole is very relaxing.
