There is a pleasant hiking trail near Sasnett Lake called the Mounds Trail, and you're probably interested in lakes, Morrison Lake is one of those nearby. Don't forget to take a good little trip to Brush Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Ramada Limited Royston. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Sunrise Golf Club, and Sasnett Lake is a location with many visitors from Athens-Clarke County.

| | Sasnett Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of precipitation; March is the month that gets the most rain while September is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Broad River offers some great whitewater, and wonderful water scenery is available at Sasnett Dam close to Sasnett Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Big Clouds Creek, and on a glorious day | |

Throughout the summer months here at Sasnett Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. All through the winter the highs
are ordinarily in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Sasnett Lake descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Comfort Suites Downtown is a great choice, and Victoria
Bryant State Park is a magnificent local campground. Looking for something in the neighborhood of Sasnett Lake? S Bar W Ranch Pond is in close proximity; why not camp at Watson Mill Bridge State Park if you're here at Sasnett Lake.
