Sangster Dam has magnificent water scenery and it's close to Sangster Lake, and a short visit to Dpuble Lime Sinks is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Southern Trails Resort if you're here at Sangster Lake, and a fine close by hotel is Cordele-Days Inn. A good spot to camp here at Sangster Lake is South Prong Creek Campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Sangster Lake       a wet site; February is the wettest month with most rain, and October is when it's the driest. Lots of folks from Cordele come to Sangster Lake, and after a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Cordele is a great place to spend a night or two. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Sangster Lake get into the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's.
