Sanders Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here; October on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Near Sanders Lake you locate the Ocmulgee River Trail which is a good hiking trail. So much entertaining stuff to do at Sanders       Lake, so little time. There's so much to do here at Sanders Lake that you need to camp here for a while, L and D RV Park is a wonderful site for that; there are some glorious whitewater spots on Towaliga River. Throughout the summer highs here at Sanders Lake reach the 80's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, commonly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's while the cold winter nights at Sanders Lake are in the 30's. You'll                  need more than a day to explore everything Sanders Lake has to offer, you can camp at Heart of Georgia RV Park, and if you're visiting from Thomaston, you won't be the only one. A lake nearby is Jones Lake, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Sanders Dam in the vicinity of Sanders Lake. Days Inn Forsyth is a wonderful location to get some rest, and Tobesofkee Creek Structure Number 70 is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful.
