It's always fun to stop by Sanders Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Sanders Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Russell Campground, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on North Oconee River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. You'll meet a lot of folks from Athens-Clarke County here; if you need a spot to stay Scottish Inns Commerce is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Commerce-Days Inn is a good location to spend a night or two, and you can stay the night at Commerce Koa Kampground. For the period of the summer highs here at Sanders Lake reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows at Sanders Lake all through the wintertime | |
