A large amount of rainfall falls at Sand Lake; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. If you need a site to stay Best Western Bradbury Inn & Suites is a great choice, and nearby you hit upon the Okefenokee Wilderness Canoe Trail which is a nice hiking trail. At Sand Lake during the summer highs are in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's.       For the duration of the winter the highs are mostly in the 60's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Sand Lake. A brilliant close by hotel is Waycross-Days Inn. There's so much to do here at Sand Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Traders Hill Recreation Area is a magnificent spot for that; going for a hike on the Indian Trail is always a splendid adventure. This lake is so wonderful.
