If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Salem Lake. Get your pulse rate up on the wonderful whitewater of South River; a quick journey to Almand Creek is without doubt a brilliant idea. There's so much to do here at Salem Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Salem Campground is a magnificent location for that; if you need a place to stay Conyers-Days Inn is       a wonderful choice. A visit to Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is recommended, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites COVINGTON. All through the warm months at Salem Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are usually in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Salem Lake temperatures dip to the                  30's. A large amount of precipitation falls at Salem Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is September. This lake is so wonderful. Salem Lake is not the only location nearby, Ub Lake Dam is a nearby lake, and there's some interesting stuff to make out at Salem Lake Dam in close proximity to Salem Lake. If you came to camp Mount Bethel Campground is a magnificent place to do that.
