Be careful coming to Sailors Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Cartecay River, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Tearbritches Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is pretty, you get a pleasant view of Walnut Mountain from Sailors Lake. If you need a site to stay Best Western Mountain View Inn is a tremendous choice; enjoy a round       of golf at Whitepath Golf Club &. There is a fine hiking trail near Sailors Lake called the Mountaintown Creek Trail; if you get bored of Sailors Lake you could also stop at close by Clotfelter Lake. Camping at Sailors Lake is wonderful fun, Plum Nelly Campground is a wonderful local campground, and do visit Sailors Lake Dam if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Diamond Lure Campground if you're here at Sailors Lake, and it's a tremendous                  idea to go to Briar Creek. Going for a hike on the Bear Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and a splendid nearby hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites. All through the summertime, highs mostly are in the 80's at Sailors Lake. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's while Sailors Lake nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 20's.
