Diamond Lure Campground
I have been going to this since I was a little boy...I'm 37 now. It is a wonderful campground. It holds many memories for me as I am sure it will for you....I have stayed at the Diamond lure in the past and found the campground and the operaters to be of a high quality. There is fishing and boating on the private lake too....

Lake Conasauga Campground
17 miles away ...mping and hosting at Lake Conasauga for the last few years I am very upset about the way people are treating the facilities offered there. As this area grows in popularity, and more and more people use it, I am saddened by the way this beautiful lake and mountian is being abused and trashed. The catch phrase ''Leave only your footprints'' applies to all US National Forests for a reason. One can only assume that you use this camping area for it's beauty and freshness, so why then do so many people leave it in such a mess? To have to pick up over 50 bags of trash, often left scattered about after a non-holiday weekend, is unreasonable. I don't mean to rant or nag, but, it isn't that hard to put a grocery bag in you pocket when fishing along the lake trail and walk out with the trash you create. The hosts in most camp grounds are volunteers and are unpaid. They pay for all of their own expenses to be there in order to keep the grounds and restrooms clean and stocked. So, PLEASE, read and obey the rules posted. Few places are as beautiful as our National Parks, please lets all make that ...
Rice Camp Trail
17 miles away If you attempt Rice Camp Trail Make sure to have compass/GPS and map. There was a terrible storm that blew down literally hundreds of trees. The trail is impassible, no exaggeration!! You can get around the downed trees, but don't expect to stay on the trail. Trees are down about a 1 1/2 miles southeast of the Jacks River Trail....
Wolf Ridge Trail
17 miles away I hiked via chestnut mnt to bigfrog summit, narrow view in summer. I would like to summit in winter for better views?... Myself and two buddies hiked up Wolf Ridge Trail on 1/18/06 in wintery, full moon conditions. We started the hike around 9:30PM and got to the broad summit of Big Frog shortly after midnight in 2 inches of snow and the wind had to be 25mph or so. Hunter ...

Rock Creek Trail
19 miles away Once we left the starting point, we did not see any trail markings or info. about the trail. We hiked for almost two hours and the trail had no signs of circling back to the trail head so we turned around and returned via the same route. Should have info. signs telling hikers that you have traveled x number of miles and you have x number of miles to travel to reach the starting point. ...
