The high level of rain makes Rowell Lake a reasonably wet site; throughout March this area sees the most rain, and October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Oak Haven Golf Club; getting to Kelsey Branch from Rowell Lake is easy. At Rowell Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with       highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows at Rowell Lake through the winter commonly drop into the 30's. There's so much to do here at Rowell Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tabernacle Campground is a good place for that, and Little Towaliga River is a great whitewater spot close by. People from Macon love to come to Rowell Lake; a splendid nearby hotel is AmeriHost Inn Macon. If you came to camp Tobesofkee Recreation Area is a delightful site to do                  that, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Huneycut Lake. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot.
