This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody loves Hickory Flats, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Rock Creek Lake; Duncan Ridge Trail is a tremendous local trail. During the days of summer here at Rock Creek Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally       in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Rock Creek Lake. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is so good! It's always magnificent to explore High Falls, and get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Toccoa River. Skeenah Campground is a brilliant campground here, and good hiking is available along the Black Mountain Trail. Rock Creek Lake is a wet                  location that gets lots of rain; most of the rain falls during March; October on the other hand is the driest. A delightful close by hotel is Econo Lodge Dahlonega; Rock Creek Lake Dam is a place that is close to Rock Creek Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here, you might as well pop by Edmondson Gap; you can stay the night at Skeenah Mill Campground. What a place this is for outdoors folks. You can run the rapids of Cooper Creek in close proximity to Rock Creek Lake, and don't leave Rock Creek Lake without first going for a hike along the Benton Mackaye Trail. The top of Frozen Knob is easily seen from Rock Creek Lake. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
