So many cool things to do at Rives Lake, so little time. Rives Lake is not far at all from Athens-Clarke County. Stay the night at Pine Lake RV Campground; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Jefferson is a great place to spend a night or two. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Athens; if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Apalachee River. Summertime highs       at Rives Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Rives Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Rives Lake has to offer, you can camp at Commerce Koa Kampground, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to distinguish at Rives Lake Dam next to Rives Lake. Rives Lake sees pretty                  high levels of precipitation; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is August.
