All the water falling down from the sky makes Richardson Lake a wet location; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while September is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Alcovy River in close proximity to Richardson Lake, and the scenery at Richardson Lake Dam is pretty. in lakes, Sheppard Lake is one of those close by. All through the days of summer highs here at Richardson Lake get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. High temperatures throughout
the winter are normally in the 50's while Richardson Lake overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. South River is a glorious whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Richardson
Lake, and Quality Inn Covington is a great place to get some rest. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Richardson Lake is right by the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail; you can stay the night at Sardis Campground.

Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain. Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
