Why not camp at Tattnall Campground if you're here at Richards Pond, obviously you could also pop by De Loach Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. Varnadoe Dam is not far at all from Richards Pond; a great nearby hotel is Northside Inn. During the warm months highs here at Richards Pond get into the 90's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 70's. The winter comes with       highs in the 60's, and night lows in the 30's for Richards Pond. Richards Pond is a wet place that gets a great deal of precipitation; July is when you get the most rain here, and November on the other hand is the driest.
