paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Whooping Creek. If you get bored of Richards Lake, you could also check out nearby Moore Lake, and there's whitewater on Snake River for all you thrill seekers.

Whooping Creek
 | ...entire life and have barely been able to find a spotdeep enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but not worth the hassle for kayaking. Wait till summer and bring an innertube and a pair of cutt-offs instead. Ple... |
