Richards Lake gets a large amount of water; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October is the month with the least moisture. Fairfield Plantation Resort is a splendid place to get some rest, and you can run the rapids of Snake River. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Richards Lake highs are generally in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of       the winter highs are in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Richards Lake. Cedar Creek is a great local stream, and Wolf Creek is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby. After a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - NEWNAN is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
